The 2026 Swift Challenger 500 is a compact single-axle 4 berth caravan that packs a French-style fixed bed, front lounge, central kitchen and corner washroom into its layout. At 21'5" long with an MTPLM of 1,350 kg and 7'5" wide, it remains a practical single-axle tow while offering genuine overnight accommodation for four — the front seats convert to a double, and the rear fixed bed is always ready to use. This layout suits couples who want the convenience of a permanent bed without sacrificing daytime living space, with the option to sleep guests or children up front.

Swift's SMART construction provides a timber-less, moisture-proof bodyshell using 'PURe' polyurethane framing with polystyrene insulation and GRP panels. Wall thickness is 25mm, the roof 32mm and the floor a robust 44mm sandwich construction. The build meets EN1645 Grade 3 thermal insulation standards and carries European Whole Vehicle Type Approval.

For 2026, the Challenger receives updated exterior graphics, new front panel detailing and 15" half diamond cut alloy wheels. A 120W roof-mounted solar panel is standard. The AL-KO Vario X chassis comes with an AKS 3004 stabiliser and ATC electronic stability control.

Additional exterior features include fully double-glazed tinted windows, a step-on hitch cover, Thule cycle rack fixing bars and an exterior access battery box with mains inlet.

Headroom throughout is 1.95m (6'5"). The 2026 interior features the Aquaclean 'Elephant' soft furnishing scheme with Sangallo Elm and Toro/Grau woodgrain accents, set against Grey French Oak scratch-resistant floor vinyl.

The rear French-style fixed bed comes with a Duvalay Duvalite Strato mattress — combining a platinum support layer, reflex foam and memory fibre for airflow and durability. The front parallel bench seats convert to a double using a slat-on-track system. New for 2026 are sprung seat bases and Tri-foam backrests, improving comfort for both sitting and sleeping.

The lounge benefits from a new Dometic panoramic front sunroof with integrated curved blind system, recessed lighting and speakers. Rooflights with flyscreens and concertina blinds are fitted throughout.

The central kitchen includes a Thetford thermostatic oven and grill, a three-burner gas hob with electric hotplate (electronic ignition throughout) and a glass lid with auto gas shut-off. A flatbed microwave and Thetford 142-litre tall fridge with 15-litre freezer compartment handle food storage.

The stainless steel sink comes with a washing-up bowl and removable extension drainer. New for 2026 is a pull-out wire basket in the kitchen cupboard. An external BBQ point and mains outlet are included for outdoor cooking.

The corner washroom features a boutique-style wash basin unit with cupboard and mirror, a chrome swivel-spout tap and a Thetford electric-flush toilet with 18-litre wheeled waste tank. The Ecocamel Jetstorm showerhead delivers strong pressure while conserving water, set against new 'White Stipple' marble-effect wallboard.

Overhead lockers with positive catches and chrome handles are fitted throughout. Upper front corner lockers and shelved lockers add extra capacity. Seat bases use spaceframe construction with full front access for larger items, and new phone storage pockets are included for 2026.

The new Truma CombiNeo provides combined heating and continuous hot water, controlled via a digital programmer and 4" LCD touchscreen. Blown air ducting distributes warmth to under-bed, under-seat and washroom areas.

Electrics run through a 25 amp switchmode charger/transformer with a 25-metre hook-up cable. LED lighting is fitted throughout, with at least four 230V sockets and twin USB points around the caravan. An FM/DAB radio with USB and Bluetooth is included, along with a Status 570 directional TV/FM aerial and booster.
